Conducted by the GGSS Foundation, Inc., the Golden Gate Summer Shootout has established itself as a top summertime event for high school level basketball teams. Fielding outstanding varsity level squads, competition is unquestionably the strongest of any event of its kind in the Western United States.

The GGSS Foundation is a youth and community benefit organization. We support REC Inc. in their work on behalf of the developmentally disabled and we encourage participation in the design arts via our annual shirt design contest. We offer grants through our Education Assistance Fund and, of course, we promote high school sports.

The Shootout enjoys popular appeal among many of the best prep basketball programs available. Set in beautiful Marin County, just to the north of the Golden Gate Bridge, games are played in well maintained venues, refereed by intercollegiate officials, and feature highly respected high school coaches and teams. College recruiters have made the GGSS a regular part of their summer scouting process.
